Pagari (Pagar)

Baker. Originally Bäckerstraße (1837-1942). Named for a fairly obvious reason, but I don’t know what it is. See Leiva. Estonia, incidentally, has perhaps the most delicious bread in the world. There was a KGB prison on the corner of this street and Pikk from 1944-1991 during the Soviet occupation, today a museum.
