Alliksoo (Alliksoo)

Another tricky one this. Relationship not clear: theoretically allikasoo would be ‘bog of the spring’ or a bog sourced by a spring, but alliksoo is the conjunction of two nominatives allik:alliku (alternative form of allikas:allika, where I suspect the ‘a’ or ‘u’ has been dropped for reasons of consonance) and soo, hence spring-bog, or source-bog, which could be interpreted as either, but could also be understood as ‘bog with (many) springs’. Street with the following approximate lineage: Luha (?-1922), Soo (1922-1940), Kaisla (1940-1941), Soo (1941-1991), and finally Alliksoo. And so (pun intended), given its repeated naming as Soo, bog or marsh, basically: somewhere wet. On of a hydrology-themed sector, see Häilu.
