Kohila (Kohila)
Town and manor house (see Mõisa) in Harjumaa. Latter first mentioned 1438 under the German name of Koil, listed in the 1241 Liber Census Daniae as Koil or Koylae. Street running parallel to the railway track at Tallinn-Väike and one of the group of streets named for stations on the Tallinn-Türi Kitsarööpa line. See Hagudi.
Järvevana (Järvevana)
Old man of the lake, Old Man Lake, another nickname for Ülemiste Vanake (the little old man of Ülemiste), a mythological character who lives there. See also Hallivanamehe. This street is part of the E67 from Helsinki to Prague.
Auru (Aur)
Steam, vapor (Auru välja laskma: to let off steam). Named for the nearby steam-engines in the railway shunting-lines. One of a small locomotive-themed group next to Tallinn-Väike station. See Suitsu.
Auru põik (Aur)
Steam, vapor, as per its daddy post Auru. While the average põik is sensible enough and does what it says on the tin, this one rambled off into the sleepy timberlands of Tallinn-Väike station, never knowing when or where to stop. As punishment it was terminated in the KNAB database in 2010. Let damnatio memoriae do its damndest, computers don’t forget...
