Linnamäe (Linnamägi)
Hillfort. Named for pointing towards the Iru hillfort, a Bronze-age settlement dating back some 4000-5000 years and at times suggested to be Kalevipoeg’s birthplace.
Linnu (Lind) 
Bird, fowl, poultry – linnu viisil elama: lit. to live in the way of a bird, i.e. to live from hand to mouth. Joined together, Linnu tee becomes Linnutee (The Milky Way), sometimes also known as Piimatee (Milk Road, in Vigala), Linnurada (Bird Path, in Emmaste), as well as Kuretee (Stork Road), Taevapeenar (Heavenly Plant-Bed) elsewhere, etc.. Category name-bomber in the Lilleküla bird-name group of streets (but also name of the Ward). See also Luige.
Linnuse (Linnus)
Stronghold. Many Estonian towns began life as a one of these, Tallinn no less. Also a Soviet occupation renaming (1954-1987) of Toom-Rüütli.
Lippe torn (0) 
One-time tower between Kõismäe torn and Loewenschede torn. Built similarly and possibly at the same time as Nunnadetagune torn (and Saunatorn?). Fallen into disrepair and demolished by 1842 at the latest, only traces remain. Some sources may also refer to it as Tullemani torn or Konsoolitorn.
Lobjaka (Lobjakas)
Slush, slosh. Part of a bad-weather group. See also Pakase.
Lodjapuu (Lodjapuu)
Aka harilik lodjapuu, õispuu (blossom tree), hullukoeramarjapuu (lit. crazy dog berry tree), etc., guelder rose, water elder, snowball tree, European cranberrybush, cramp bark, etc., Viburnum opulus. Tree/shrub group, see Lõhmuse.
