Names
Kõrgepinge (Kõrgepinge)
High tension, high voltage, near Siire. There are only a couple of hundred yards of actual road, most of this is a bicycle- or footpath, connecting others from Stroomi beach to Nõmme. See Lahepea and Harkumetsa.
Korgi (Kork)
Fuse or circuit breaker, third of the seven electrical streets (see Lambi). More commonly known as kaitsekork or elektrikork. Also means, and more usually, cork, as well as plug, stopper, or even bottle-top... For those wondering, nothing to do with the dog breed ‘corgi’, which comes from Welsh cor (dwarf) and gi (‘lenition’ or ‘soft mutation’ of ci (dog), typical of Welsh consonants at the start of certain words).
