Rural sub-post-office. Interesting… given the associations of farms (talu [sing.], talud, [pl.]) and manors / estates (see Mõisa), the name reveals a hint in the development of state services. Manors / Estates had duties and responsibilities attached to their privileges and acting as postal service for both letters and carriages may well have been within their remit.
