Tasuja (Tasuja)

The Avenger, published 1880. Probably if not certainly Estonia’s most-read historical novel, major influence in both shaping and invigorating national identity, and contributing driving-force in Estonian independence such as the 1919 Battle of Cēsis (Battle of Võnnu for Estonians) or during WWII against the Germans. Begun when author Bornhöhe E. was a 17-year-old teacher. See also Tambeti.

Teaduspargi (Teaduspark)

Science park or cluster. The park in question being the Tallinn Technology Park, Tallinna Tehnoloogiapark.

Teelehe (Teeleht)

Plantain or fleawort, Plantago spp. Why it’s called teeleht (tea leaf) is a bit misleading but it is used in various herbal remedies for coughs, constipation and preventing cuts becoming infected.

Tehnika (Tehnika)

Technical science, technology, engineering; technique, equipment. Named after nearby Raudtee Tehnikakool, railway technical college.
