Küti (Kütt)
Hunter, trapper. Originally named Schützenstraße, protect or defence street (1881) and otherwise known as Schießgasse (shooting alley), Стрѣлковая ул. (arrow road, in 1916, hence old spelling, see Intro) or Стрелочная ул (undated, new spelling). Named after rifle-range the military used to practice on. Anagram of Tüki. One of a mini target-practice group. See Noole.
Kuukivi (Kuukivi)
Moonstone. Not an erratic boulder, a new (2018) member of the magico-mythological group. See Loitsu.
Kuukressi (Kuukress)
Honesty, aka lunaria (Lat.: moonlike) for their pale, translucent seedpods. Sometimes known as the ‘money-tree/plant’ for the seedpods’ flat, silver-coinlike appearance. Two species known in Estonia:
- Aed-kuukress, (annual) honesty, Lunaria annua
- Mets-kuukress, perennial honesty, L. rediviva.
Kuuli (Kuul)
Bullet, shot, ball or even (but not in this case) pill. Named after a turn-of-the-(last)-century military firing range.
